Rob Cross has reflected on his 6-5 win over Haupai Puha in the first round of the New Zealand Darts Masters.
The defending champion explained: “Haupai played brilliantly on his own throw. He was clinical.
“I was thinking I needed to sneak a 12-darter in that last leg if I wanted to get through, but I got a little bit fortunate in the end.
“It is fantastic to be part of the World Series, and I’ve got to pour everything into tomorrow now, where hopefully I will play a bit better.”

Luke Littler ishoping to see a Manchester United winin the early hours of Saturday morning as he competes in the New Zealand Darts Masters.
The Nuke, who is currently in Hamilton, has revealed he has set an alarm to make sure he does not miss their clash with Fulham at Old Trafford.
He revealed: “I’ve set an alarm for seven in the morning. I’ll watch the boys.
“It’s always good to get new signings in. I’ve witnessed a few trophies in my time whereas my dad and family have witnessed everything. I’m still waiting to witness it all and I’m very confident.”
