Price admits tiredness
Price was up at 5am going for an early breakfast at McDonald’s - as it appeared on his Instagram story - but still had the stamina to win the final.
He revealed: “Around about 7pm I was starting to feel tired. I’ve been up since half four this morning.
“I was like I hopefully can get through my first game and probably just get knocked out because I felt a bit tired.
“I’m not sure what happened but I just felt re-energised and I felt like I had another gear in me.
“Against Peter (Wright) I could have gone out but in the final I played a little bit better.
“It fills me full of confidence now. I haven’t had much confidence over the past couple of weeks or couple of months.
“But building game by game and winning the final gives me a lot of confidence.”

Price speaks
Gerwyn Price has spoken out after his 8-1 battering of Luke Littler down under.
I think Luke missed a couple of doubles, probably could have won another two or three legs and then it’s a different story.
It’s happened to me in the past and I’m glad it was for me tonight.
He missed a couple of doubles and it looks like I’ve kind of run away with it. It was a tough game.
